DOWN DUVETS 160 X 200 CM

Goose down duvet 160x200 – the perfect choice for ultimate comfort

The 160x200 goose down duvet is one of the most popular sizes among our customers. It fits most beds and offers the widest selection of duvet covers. It is often chosen as one of two independent duvets for a double bed or as a cozy option for a single bed, ensuring optimal warmth and comfort.

Handcrafted goose down duvets 160x200 from Polish geese

For nearly 100 years, we have been crafting and hand-sewing natural goose down duvets in the 160x200 size. Goose down is recognized worldwide as the highest-quality natural filling. Our down duvets regulate temperature perfectly—keeping you warm in winter, cool in summer, and effectively wicking away moisture while allowing the skin to breathe. They are incredibly light, resilient, and breathable, ensuring excellent air circulation throughout the night.

We use only the finest Polish goose down, sourced from geese raised on an eco-friendly farm in Greater Poland. This premium-quality down is known for its exceptional cleanliness and loft. The 160x200 down duvet is filled with 100% pure goose down, with no feather blends. The duvet cover, known as the inlet, is made of 100% natural cotton, free from synthetic dyes. This fabric is hypoallergenic, non-irritating, and gentle on the skin.

For nearly a century, we have specialized in designing and handcrafting goose down duvets, using time-honored, pre-war techniques that have stood the test of time. This meticulous craftsmanship ensures that our duvets are a lifelong investment. Thanks to their box-stitched construction with reinforced natural fabric strips along each edge, the down remains evenly distributed, preventing cold spots. These traditional techniques significantly enhance the duvet’s durability, making it a premium choice for years to come.

Goose down duvets 160x200 available for every season

Our manufactory offers two collections: our flagship premium line "1926," referencing the year of our establishment and the special collection introduced for our centenary – “Ewa Premium Heritage”. Each collection varies in terms of the fabric used for the shell, known as the inlet, and the loftiness of the down.

The "1926" collection features an ultra-light duvet made of batiste, filled with down that boasts an exceptional loft of 800 CUIN. “Ewa Premium Heritage” beautifully crafted with solidly filled 750 CUIN goose down baffles, enveloped in a velvety cotton material. All the materials we use are natural and free from synthetic dyes.

Among our 160x200 down duvets, we offer both summer and warmer, year-round options. The summer duvets come in various sizes, including 160x200. They are indispensable during hot weather, effectively ventilating the body and wicking away moisture. Compact in size, many of our customers often take them on their travels in our cotton carry case.

Our warm, year-round down duvets provide warmth even in subzero temperatures. The year-round down duvet 160x200 ensures the thermal comfort you need for a peaceful night's sleep.

How much does a goose down duvet 160x200 cost?

Prices for down duvets range from 600 PLN to often over 4000 PLN. Many factors influence the price. Below, we highlight the most important considerations to keep in mind when purchasing a down duvet.

  • Is the duvet filled with 100% down or does it contain a mix of down and feathers? Pay attention to the composition. If the down content is 70%, 80%, or 90%, the remainder of the filling consists of feathers. Remember that feathers have significantly poorer thermal insulation properties and simply do not perform as well in a duvet..
  • Where does the down come from and is it new? It's worth finding out whether the down is sourced from Poland and which part of the country it comes from. Is it goose down or does it contain duck down? This matters because duck down is much cheaper. Used down will also be less expensive.
  • Loft and length of the down. Truly good down is long and has a minimum loft of 650 CUIN.
  • Duvet construction. It is essential that the down does not shift, and the duvet should have natural reinforcement tapes sewn into every edge.
  • Size; of course, the larger the duvet, the more expensive it will be.
  • The shell material, known as the inlet. It should be down-proof, soft, and durable. Duvets made of batiste are the most expensive and exclusive option.
  • Is there after-sales service? Will the manufacturer from whom you purchase the duvet repair it if your child or four-legged friend damages it, or will the company clean or refresh the down after years? All of this is offered to clients by the Emkap manufactory.
  • Storage case. Often, manufacturers sell down duvets in bags with a plastic window. It's important not to store down products in non-breathable materials. Down needs to breathe.

It's not worth skimping on a duvet, pillows, or bedding since we spend an average of 30 years of our lives in the bedroom. Only high-quality products will ensure us a healthy and peaceful sleep and save money in the long run. A single duvet for a lifetime at 2000 PLN is not a significant expense. This wise and conscious purchase will benefit the environment and the planet.
